Babysat a bunch of small children for a few days. Parents left town. I may not get paid. This worries me.
The three year old was a lot of work, all together I discovered I would do better off it if came up with a long laundry list of fun activities for them to do before I got there. That would be much easier.
However, I now feel qualified enough to write a book about how to entertain a three year old for two hours using only a bag of marbles.

Also, the six year old forgot my real name one too many times and gave up. Instead, she took to calling me, "poodle head" due to the obvious massive amounts of curls that encompass my head.

My mom and I went through a re-cap of all the reasons that we didn't get along kindergarten up to now. It was a pretty intense and draining conversation. Not sure if anything changed, but I do think it was nice for both of us to hear some long awaited apologizes from the other. It was nice to finally say some things that had been wedged in some corner or my mind for far too long.
Spent more time with my housemate Sean lately. He is a really cool kid if you don't know him. We went to Ivy/erica/greg/pia's barbecue and talked about our respective romantic histories (in a brotherly bonding way).
Afterwards, I went to Celeste's for smoothies. They were delicious. Though I don't think I will ever be okay with peanut butter in my smoothie- that's crossing a personal boundary.
Hanging out a lot at 147 n. pleasant lately.
Ivy made me soup, which was so sweet of her.
I have been reading "Como hablar para que los adolescentes esuchen, y como escuchar para que los adolescentes hablen". It's a cheesy book that translates to "How to talk so that teenagers listen, and how to listen so that teenagers talk." It's nice because I can understand all the Spanish and don't have to look up every other word in a dictionary. I think I also secretly like the book. It is so ridiculous to hear about how long it takes parents to realize that if they just remembered what they thought of their parents when they were teenagers, they would be able to understand how to relate to their kids better.

Painted kids faces today at Rabbi Shimon's. My projects included: a dragon, a lizard, a dog and bone, hearts, a beard and moustache, a pink robot, and cats. The dragon came out pretty cool, but the spotted lizard looked the best. A little kid, Erica d., and I build a small city of blocks. The "good guy" charged up on top of the skyscraper in order to electrocute the "bad guys", who were played by dradles.
